Hacienda
San Antonio
Bio
Hacienda is a San Antonio rock band built around brothers Rene Villanueva (guitar and vocals), Jaime Villanueva (drums), and Abraham Villanueva (bass). Their own press page describes a mix of Tex-Mex, straight-ahead rock and roll, and Americana. A six-song demo reached Dan Auerbach of the Black Keys, who produced their 2008 debut Loud Is the Night and later Big Red and Barbacoa and the 2012 album Shakedown. The brothers also toured as Auerbach’s backing band, the Fast Five, behind his solo record Keep It Hid, and opened for the Black Keys along with acts such as Dr. Dog and My Morning Jacket.
