Woes

Bio

Woes is a Chicago rapper whose Facebook page, started December 15, 2015, pronounces the name “woes” and lists the city as home. Sleeping Village’s own show notes called him one of the city’s better-kept secrets, cited coverage from Lyrical Lemonade and Fake Shore Drive, and pointed to the 2023 song “Rose.” South Side Weekly’s 2025 profile places him as someone who grew up in the south suburbs, lives on the North Side, and raps with a live band, drawing on rock as well as an Armenian family background. In 2026 he released “CHIANNE,” a single that turns Chicago into a toxic lover, and showcased at SXSW.
