Velvet Bethany

Bio

Velvet Bethany is a Buffalo rock band started in 2014 by singer and songwriter Allison Mitchell. Bandcamp lists the project as Buffalo rock and roll, and Stereogum described the 2019 album Rock and Roll Vacation as speedy garage-punk with sharp hooks. Mitchell’s Spotify artist bio says the songs move across genres while staying rooted in rock, and notes that Rock and Roll Vacation and Bliss City were featured by Bandcamp Daily, Stereogum, buffaBLOG, and radio shows including Rodney Bingenheimer’s. A February 2025 buffaBLOG piece on the “Forbidden Fruit” video called the current lineup inclusive of Romcom Victims members Kam Plotner and Nate Miller.
