lespecial

Bio

lespecial is a three-piece band that calls itself a prog-tronic power trio. On the band’s own site, the members are Luke Bemand (bass, synth, percussion, vocals), Jonathan Grusauskas (guitar, synth, sampler, percussion, vocals), and Rory Dolan (drums, sampler, percussion, vocals). They describe growing up in Connecticut and later working out of Millerton, New York, and southern Connecticut; their Bandcamp page lists Millerton. Their “heavy future groove” mixes heavy riffs with synths, 808s, and vocals. The band’s site highlights the album Odd Times, made with Havok’s David Sanchez, as a darker, heavier record built on riffs and tribal drumming.
