Davey O

Bio

Davey O is a Buffalo-born singer-songwriter of Americana and folk whose own site, daveyo.com, lists a steady run of Western New York shows. A 2013 Buffalo Rising interview says he started on bass at 13, later worked as a solo act, and sometimes played with guitarist and mandolinist Jeffrey Mikulski, a friend from their student days at Villa Maria. The Shepherd Center for the Performing Arts calls him a Buffalo storyteller whose credits include a 2013 Kerrville Folk Festival New Folk songwriting finalist spot, a 2015 Mid-Atlantic Song Contest finalist placing, and Sportsmen’s Americana Music Foundation Jim Lauderdale Songwriter of the Year nominations in 2016 and 2017.
