Bio

Dave P. is David Pianka, the Philadelphia DJ and promoter behind Making Time. In a 2025 Passion of the Weiss interview he said he moved back to Philly after graduating from Springfield College in 1998, worked at the Last Drop coffee shop, and started the party in 2000 after nights such as Sorted and Rock & Roll Overdose. A one-year anniversary show in May 2001 with the Strokes convinced him to make it his life. Resident Advisor lists him as the founder of Making Time in Philadelphia, FIXED in New York, and Making Time Forever at Fort Mifflin, and he DJs the Pure Halloween date at Franklin Music Hall.
