The Charities
Bio
The Charities are a California soul, funk, and jazz band. A 2019 Monterey County Now profile says singer Brock Van Pelt started the group in Hermosa Beach around Motown and that the band later lived on a ranch north of San Luis Obispo. Their Bandcamp page places them in San Luis Obispo and says Bring Your Love / Angel Eyes, released Dec. They open for Thee Sinseers at the Flagstaff Orpheum.
