Bio
Aseethe is a doom, drone, and sludge band formed in 2007 in Iowa City. Metal Archives lists the current lineup as Brian Barr on guitar, vocals, and synthesizers, Eric Diercks on drums, and Noah Koester on bass and vocals; Barr’s brother Danny Barr, who died in 2023, had played bass and sung. Vice profiled them in 2017 as a Midwestern doom band drawing on hardcore, Neurosis, Khanate, and Sunn O))). Thrill Jockey has released Hopes of Failure (2017), Throes (2019), and The Cost (2024).
