Anna Tivel is an American indie-folk singer from La Conner, Washington, who learned violin and fiddle as a child and moved to Portland, Oregon, at 18 to write and play. Her songs are character sketches of ordinary lives, often compared with Adrianne Lenker and Paul Simon. She has released nine studio albums, mostly on Fluff and Gravy, including Small Believer, The Question, Outsiders, and Living Thing.
